Over a year ago while researching I came across this cool new toy. I thought to myself, I need this for me. I have so many pieces and was tired of buying mannequin heads and styrofoam heads. Well, a year later I ended up buying it for the Queens of Wigs’ new suite.

Remy hair and virgin hair has taken over and everyone has forgotten about regular store bought hair. Remy is the high quality human hair. The cuticle is going in one direction. So this means less tangling and less shedding.

I am not a fan of buying Remy hair in the hair store but among the list I will be listing the only packaged Remy Brands that I will ever buy in the hair store.

Velvet Remy by Outre comes in various textures – This hair is realistic and can be worn repeatedly. It looks good and feels good. Prices start at about 65.00 a pack. Two packs needed to complete a full head sewn in weave. 

Anything by Outre is excellent. I love their straight human hair, their wet and wavy hair is awesome. I am a die hard outre fan. 

Janet Hair Moroccan Remy

This is for those who like it thick. If you like full locks then this is the perfect hair for you. I purchased this hair at the Bronner Bros Atlanta show in February

Indian Remy MilkyWay 

The beauty about this hair is that it can be worn wavy and straight. I feel you can achieve the expensive look with an affordable price with this brand. Milky ways Indian Remy comes in various textures: body wave, Brazilian, loose deep and more BUT I have to say Brazilian is my favorite. Your look will be very similar to the picture provided. This hair starts runs about 35.00 a pack in medium length and is worth every penny. I do not recommend reusing it like you can with real Remy hair but it does the trick for a one time install.

Next, I suggest Motown Tress 

This hair is very full its regular human hair. It blends well with African American relaxed hair. It matches perfectly with hair in between relaxers and blown out hair. The texture is unbelievable. This hair is said to be going out of business. Therefore, go grab it while you can. I added it to the last because the hair is so natural for those that don’t like silky straight looks that I suggest you rack up now. 

10 Things That You are NOT Doing in Your Business That You Should Be

1. You are not confident about your prices

Get a clear understanding of your prices and stick to it! Know your worth. Stop selling your self short and comparing yourself to the next business. Stop lowering your prices for complaining clients. When you lower your prices you lower your standards. Stick to your original goals. If you need to make a certain amount of money a week if you lower your prices the harder it is to attain that goal. Think about it.  Is Louis Vuitton, Vera Wang, Coach, and other high end services lowering their prices cause clients are saying that there prices are over the top? You set the bar. You set the tone for your business and the kind of customers your deal with.

2. You are not using social media to your advantage

Okay so you created your social media accounts. You browse the channels periodically. You post a little something here and a little something there. You say sale sale sale. Look at me look at me BUT that’s not what social media is about. Its about connecting with others. Also, you need to take advantage of sites like hootsuite that does the work for you. You need to have a marketing calendar. You need to STOP living on social media and through the lives of others and be more productive yet effectively use your time management.

You should not be going on these sites every other hour browsing. You need a clear plan. You should be on there once a day for half an hour. I am serious!

3. You are NOT in control of time management

Put everything on a schedule and follow it. Have one day out of the week strictly for marketing, another day for following up, another day for networking, a day for appointments and so on.

4. You are NOT talking enough

   Get out there and let the world know you exist. Tell everyone about your business from the cashier at your grocery store to your child’s music teacher. Biweekly you should be attending business related events and networking with others. 

5.You are NOT getting off your ASS

Yes, I said it! Sorry if you are offended, but it’s the truth! Get off your butt and get out there. Sitting at home behind your computer is not and will not bring your business. I repeat stop wasting time checking e-mails and constantly checking your Facebook account get out in the community.

• Work w/ a charity that aligns with your beliefs and business model (be careful though dedicate a small percentage of your time)

• Weekly attend networking events

• Go where your target market is

• Tell every one about your business from your child’s music teacher to there

          If you want to build your list you need to meet people face to face, call them on the phone and follow up. You are not going to get business sitting on your _________.

6. You are NOT acting like a successful business person

You are walking around not believing in yourself and your business. Guess what everybody can see it. When speaking about your business you should be excited. Excitement is contagious! People vibe off of your energy. Business people do not talk negatively about their business therefore why should you.  Even if your sales are down be optimistic and figure a clear plan to get them up. Don’t go around saying business is not doing well expecting people to feel pity for you and buy.

7. You are NOT sticking to your goals

Remember those quarterly and annually goals you wrote in the beginning of the year? Are you following them? Are you reflecting and measuring them. Your goals are the foundation of your business. Your whole business plan aligns around your goals. What are you doing everyday to attain your goals?   

8. You are NOT surrounded by like minded people

If you want to be successful you need to hang with successful people. For starters you should have at least 3 like minded people in your associate network. One of the three needs to be where you want to be as far as money wise. If you aspire to be a millionaire you need to hang with millionaires.

9. You are NOT taking advantage of a business coach

Beyonce has a vocal coach, President Obama has a communications coach, Kobe Bryant has an athletic trainer,  and business owners should have business coaches. You see where I am going with this. Those that are  successful didn’t get there by themselves. They have someone to go to not to solve all their problems But to guide them in the right direction. What makes you think you can do it yourself if those that are successful had help.

10. Your are NOT in control of your mindset

You are busy listening to the negative thoughts in your head saying…

Your prices are too high

You are not making sales, just quit
